After the discovery of King Tut's Tomb in 1922 Europe went mad for Egyptian anything! Decor, clothing, jewelry, costumes, etc. And the aesthetic of the ancient Egyptians highly influenced the Art Deco movement to come.

The press-molded glass stone in this piece was made in Czechoslovakia in the 1920's during this 3rd Egyptian Revival. The hieroglyphics don't actually say anything but they still have their original gold oxide highlighting! I've bezel set this glass in fine silver and textured pewter with sterling wire details and pewter granulation. The strand is buri-nut and onyx with a lobster clasp for an adjustable fit.
