Press molded in Occupied Japan between 1946 and 1953 this glass has a gorgeous amethyst color and a floral molded design. I've bezel set it in fine silver on a stamped pewter pendant strung on a sterling bale and chain 18 inches. This glass is very deeply molded with the design piercing all the way through the glass at times. This is a feature of Japanese glass and is not seen in the Czech glass. It reminds me of Chinese stone carving.
