BE-510 Scottish Style Pearl Earrings
These earrings feature stamped pewter swaths connecting sterling wires that surround silvery cultured freshwater pearls. Reminiscent of the historical Scottish pearls harvested from the freshwater mussels from the rivers Spey and Tay. These mussels are now an endangered and protected species. So these pearls are cultured, not wild harvested.
Inspired by the Scottish Art Nouveau movement and the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his wife Margaret Macdonald, an Edwardian power couple of art and design!
