This deeply molded glass was made in Japan after WW2 during the US occupation. Its dramatic color is meant to imitate natural coral jewelry popular since victorian times. I've bezel set it in fine silver on a stamped pewter disk. The split shank is cast sterling silver.
Glass measures 5/8 inch diameter, with the setting measuring 7/8 inch.
