After the discovery of King Tut's Tomb in 1922 Europe went mad for Egyptian anything! Decor, clothing, jewelry, costumes, etc. And the aesthetic of the ancient Egyptians highly influenced the Art Deco movement to come.
The glass cabochon in this piece is from the 1920's made in Czechoslovakia. I've set it in an Art Deco style pendant of hammered pewter and copper. The beading is all genuine Lapis Lazuli, silver, and copper. It's finished with 2 inches of sterling chain and lobster clasp for an adjustable fit.
