New Work for 2019:
BN-282 Lanna Style Collar
This 3 piece necklace is an example of a new metal chasing technique I studied in Chiang Mai Thailand at the Silver Temple, Wat Sri Suphan in January 2019. The pattern is from the Lanna style of Northern Thailand which is more floral than the Bangkok style in which everything is engulfed in flames. I hand chase the pewter and then decorate with sterling silver wire. Hand polished for a more patina heavy look.Hematite stones on silver wire connect the pieces and the necklace is finished with hand formed sterling silver chain and a lobster clasp for an adjustable fit. Check out my travel blog page for photos of Wat Sri Suphan and my teacher Kru Tu!
Could be worn with BE-379 on the earring page
BN-281 Thai House Necklace
I designed this piece during a 6 day stay in a lovely traditional teak wood house on a canal in Nonthaburi Thailand. If you check the travel blog page you can find photos and a description of our experience there. Here's a link to their website... Thai House. If you flip this necklace upside down it mimics the roof line of the iconic Thai House.
Hammered pewter decorated with sterling silver wire. Sterling silver chain and lobster clasp for an adjustable fit.
