BN-197 WW1 Frosted glass and Jet necklace
All of the frosted glass pieces in this necklace were made before the end of WW1! The central piece features delicate molded detail and an inlayed diamond of Jet. Jet was popularized by Queen Victoria when she chose it as her mourning stone after Prince Albert died. Onyx beads offset the frosted glass in the necklace. The setting and decorative neckpieces are hand fabricated from sterling silver, hammered pewter, and cast pewter droplets. The necklace is finished with sterling silver chain and lobster clasp for an adjustable fit, but it's designed to be worn a bit on the long side.
Centerpiece measures 1 and 5/8 inch square.
